Commemorating ....London style

A good friend heard about this before I did.  A plan to fill the moat at the tower of London with hundreds of thousands of poppies to commemorate that start of world war I.

It has only just started to be worked on, but is already rather breath taking, as my rather amatuerish point and click camera shots show....

 

 

 

There is clearly quite a bit of work to be done before the whole moat is full (can they really fill the WHOLE moat?)
I might just have to come back and see for myself....
